Build social templates your team can actually run

A handover is not finished when the files are delivered. It is finished when someone else can make post number fifty.

A handover is not finished when the files are delivered. It is finished when someone else can make post number fifty without calling you.

Design for the least confident person on the team

Every template we ship assumes the person using it is busy, not a designer, and working on a phone at least some of the time.

  1. Lock everything that should never move
  2. Leave exactly one text field and one image slot per layout
  3. Name layers in plain language, not Rectangle 47

The three-layout rule

Most brands need three social layouts, not thirty: a statement post, a carousel frame, and a photo-with-caption. Anything beyond that gets used twice and abandoned.

Test it before you hand it over

Give the templates to someone outside the project and ask them to produce a week of content. Whatever they get wrong is a design problem, not a training problem.
